You can't choose who you love

Time is flying. Really after five years, when I looked back I see it clearly. Time fly and no one can stop it. Things change, but some things stay stable.  we don't let them change. Or they don't let us change. I had good and bad time in this five years. But I really appreciate to all of my memories which is making me who I am. All persons who come to my life, makes me happy and maybe even cry.
Anyway, if we come to point, I really love this song and some how put in me a mood which reminds my past. But the past is past in the end. The song is about a love story what have happily ever after. (Finally a happy love story). There was a girl and a boy who love each other. But guess what, their families have a really serious problem about each other we even call them enemy. Lovers had a tough time because of the enemy issues but in the end families member understand their love and permit them to get married. Thanks to this marriage both of side get make up and end of story everyone be happy.

Songs have lots of versions but I like this one most. My second favorite is below one. But it puts me seriously bad mood. so be careful when you listen. I have just realized that this is first Turkey Turkish song I ever shared. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Thanks to Selda Bağcan I can find English lyric of song easly :)  so I am gonna give English lyric direcly here :)

Jamal Slitine / Hobbi lak (Ahwak)

A Miserable Love Story

Ahwak اهواك means ' I Love You'.  But that song feels me so sad instead feeling happy or lovely. But there is no any good love story so far I know. All we are suffer from somethings and love is one of them.  Maybe most important one. But when go over lyric of the song I saw that this love, I mean love of songwriter, is worth to suffer. Sometimes people stuck with some people who don't deserve their love at all. But love is love in the end. Last days I realize that love is something that separated from the people. I said sometimes we couldn't get over some people who don't deserve our love but it is not mean our love is not meaningless as well. Love is beyond the humanity
Anyway, let's come to point Ahwak the song. Firstly I do not know I lot information about Jamal Slitine. I just little dig in Turkish and English and they say Jamal Slitine from Morrocco but somehow that information did not satisfy me so I try to check up some Arabic internet channel, by the way, my Arabic is really little, but as I understand this two voice in song came from Egyp actually it make sense because original of song which is I gonna share with you is also from Egyp, but as I mention my Arabic is little and I am not sure.

A Great Arabic Singer; Abdel Halim Hafez

Abdel Halim Hafez, he is Egyptian Actor and singer. between 1950-1970 he was the most popular character of the whole Arabic world. He was considered as a great singer of all the time in Arabic. And I have just known him thanks to Ahwak song.  Anyway, I really like the songs I hope you like too. And as my final word here is the songs lyric. Enjoy it!

Ahwak.
I love you.
We atmana law ansak,
And I wish if I ever forget you,
Ansa rohy wayak.
I forget my soul with you.
Wen daiet teba fadak
And if it becomes lost, it's OK,
Law tensany.
If you've forgotten me.

We ansak,
So I forget you,
watareeny bansa gafak.
And I forget all you pain.
Wa ashtak le azaby maak.
And I start longing for it again.
We alaky demooi fakrak,
And I find my tears remember you.
Warga tany.
So I return to you.

Fe loak,
At times,
El donia tegeny maak.
The whole world comes with you.
We redaha teba redak.
And its wish is your wish.
We sa-et-ha ye hoon fe hawak.
And then, maybe you will end,
Tool hermany.
Depriving my love of you.

We raeek,
And I'd nourish you,
Was-ha men el leil anadeek.
Wake up from my sleep to call you.
We abaat rohy tesaheek.
And send my soul to wake you.
Om yally shaghelny beek,
So you who has stirred my soul,
Garab nary.
Try out my fire.

We la-eek,
I dream of finding you
Mashghool we shaghelny beek.
Thinking of me, and I of you.
We einaya teegy fe eneik,
And my eyes meeting yours.
We kalamhom yeba aleik,
And the words written on your face,
Wenta dary.
While you try to hide them.

Kardeş Türküler / Haware Gule

To Do Remember To Do Miss

Time to time, some beautiful things had come to place where everything ends. But none of them had not stayed for a long time.

At the beginning of the song, a man says this world in Turkish ( He is a Turkish actor name; Yılmaz Erdoğan) before talking about the song and some movies I want to say somethings about my currently feeling and mood as usually I do. Well,  I feel scattered. I don't know how I explain this feeling but somehow this song talk for me, I believe. I am fine I am not bad. I know that but somehow and sometime I miss something a lot and I really don't know who is I missing where am I belong. This is a kinda emotional confused situation. But I believe I will get over all these things sooner. at least I have faith to do it.

Music Speaks
Yeah, music speaks.  when I decided to use this world as the title I laughed a lot. My before piano teacher who is funny and cute but little bit henpecked has a tattoo like that. When I learn he has a tattoo like that ( he had thousand of them ) I said ' Yay! this is such a stupid word to had as a tattoo on your body'. To be honest I still on my word but somehow this sentence makes something easy to understand. Anyway, yes music speaks sometimes for because you could not find a right word to describe your feeling.  But why I pick out this song. This is the story of it. Actually  I knew this song such long time. But I had some hesitate to share, maybe I have waited for a right time. Don't know. But less or more before one month, I left from where which is about a job there was a director who reminds me someone  When the last moment I was lifting he said me something from a movie's final scene. İt makes that moment more emotional to me and when I came home I search about this final scene and I faced with this song. And I said maybe this is a right time?

What is this Movie?
Vizyontele Tuuba
as Wikipedia says directly;

"Vizontele is a 2001 Turkish comedy-drama film, written and directed by Yılmaz Erdoğan and co-directed by Ömer Faruk Sorak, based on the writer-director's childhood memories of the arrival of the first television to his village in the late-1970s. The film, which went on nationwide release on February 2, 2001, won three Golden Orange awards and was one of the most successful Turkish films to that date. A sequel, entitled Vizontele Tuuba, involving the director and most of the original cast followed in 2004."

For me, Vizyontele is my first movie which is I watch in my life. But I do not remember that time clearly. When I was getting older I watched again and say myself ' As the first movie in my personal history, good choice man '

But I also want to share that final scene with you as English dialogue between girl and man like that

Girl-  I 'll write to you
Boy- Dont, when you give that promise, I will wait. And a few person come to here but lots of them are gone. İn that time, other people who stay in here wait for them. But sometimes wait for a long time. Sometimes you look to this long and empty road and expect someone come from there but no one come at all. So, don't write to me.
Girl - I'll never forget you!
And the Song
Songs and movie from Turkey but the language of the song is Kurdish which is my other mother language.  Generally, Turkis people don't like this language but I do not agree with them, of course, I like all my languages which are I born with or I learn later. songs about a miserable love of between rosebud and rose. it is a metaphor of course. they are a symbol of all lovers who are love but can't comes together.  Here are the songs lyric in Kurdish and Turkish, ı wish I could have time to translate it from Kurdish to English but I do not. İn later İ will add :)

Hello everyone, I come back again, with a lovely and cheerful song :) But before talk about song, I am gonna share something on my life and why I pick up this song to share.  Well, actually answer of the question why I share the song is easy I like so much Ya Rahay and I feel happy nowadays. Pure Happiness.  As if we think this blog is kinda my dairy ı want to say some update about my life. Maybe I say maybe not before, I am senior student at college, so I needed to find a intern position to have experience, anyway because of that I have started to work in production agency and its makes me happy being there, I met lots of good people, the producturs, editors cameramans,  The director.. all of them is really cute :) But I really have doubt about what I want to do after my graduation, I like television staff which is I am in right now but I also love ad anyway summary, some new people who ı work together makes me happy. This is a reason of what I am happy but just one of them :)

An Amazing Song

Yes, an amazing song, like I mention at headline. But (There is a but all the time :D)commonly known an Rachid Taha song, this is wrong. Because this is a Dahmane El Harrachi's song which is composed in 1970. Song written by Dahmane El Harrachi for some people who immagrate from Algeria to French. But I think every single person can find something about their life, I mean life is an journey and all of us is passenger. So song is really relating about us, of course I am gonna share the lyric, and you will see what I mean.

Yes, the song was written in 1970, but in 1997 we heard this song again but this time from Taha, and thanks to Rachid Taha lots of people all around the world learn and love this song like me. Actually there is thousand version of song , from India to Romania, this is a kinda madness I think, but it, I mean  song, worth to that. But before the version of song I want to add the original of i it, yes here , below, I put songs original.

Dahmane El Harrachi - Ya Rayah

As final episodes I just want to share song lyric because one of my before content I talked to much about Taha, but I want say that I like him and his music so much,  and here is lyric

The Passenger
Oh where are you going?
Eventually you must come back
How many ignorant people have regretted this
Before you and me
How many overpopulated countries and empty lands have you seen?
How much time have you wasted?
How much have you yet to lose?
Oh emigrant in the country of others
Do you even know what's going on?
Destiny and time follow their course but you ignore it
Why is your heart so sad?
And why are you staying there miserable?
Hardship will end and you no longer learn or build anything
The days don't last, just as your youth and mine didn't
Oh poor fellow who missed his chance just as I missed mine
Oh traveler, I give you a piece of advice to follow right away
See what is in your interest before you sell or buy
Oh sleeper, your news reached me
And what happened to you happened to me
Thus, the heart returns to its creator, the Highest (God)

I dont know where I am at nights
Nights have wounded my heart

Worse than all other pains, separation

Hava Nagila / Harry Belafonte

Let's Cheer Up!

Hava Nagila is a Jewish folk song. Generally they sing this song (and dance) when their wedding days, so, it is kind of wedding celebrate song. Nagila Hava mean is  ' Lets Cheer Up' and the song put you’re a better mood.  Melody of song is so familiar to me because in Turkey (as a Muslim country which is generally doesn’t have good feeling about Jewish people) we play same melody when we get married in our wedding celebration ceremony.  So interesting ha ? I mean I believe lots of people who in live Turkey and dance with this song don’t know that they share a custom with Jewish people. I try to came this point people just hate other people without have any information about them. They don’t care about who they are, what they love etc. Governments, countries, or other authorities can do bad things to people, I agree with that but we can’t say that this government has mean political way so whole this people who live that country is mean. No, not this way, at least I don’t believe like that. So we try to figure out them culture, maybe history and see them just independent person without have any bias. At least I see people in this way.

Nagila Hava Dance

Anyway lets gives some information about song. Ohm Ohm, The melody of Hava Nagila  was taken from a Romanian folk dance-song from Bucovina (a variant of Hora). It uses thePhrygian dominant scale, common in music of Romania. It is perhaps the first modern Israeli folk song in the Hebrew languagethat has become a staple of band performers at Jewish weddings and bar/bat mitzvah celebrations. It was composed in the 1920s in the British Mandate of Palestine, when Hebrew was being revived for the first time as a spoken language in almost 2,000 years (since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE). For the first time, Jews were being encouraged to speak Hebrew as a common language, instead of YiddishArabicLadino, or other regional Jewish languages.

Yep, and here is song's lyric

Anna German / Katyusha

A Love And War Song

Katyusha (Катюша) ; diminutive of Catherine.  İt obviously Russian Song You can understand without any explanation. But when we came ' A love and war song' part, yes, this is little bit complex. Before explain war and love song issue I should say that lots of people know Katyusha as anonymous russian folk song but it is not. İt  composed in 1938 by Matvei Blanter with lyrics from Mikhail Isakovsky. İt sounds like so traditional and old but obviosly not. Actually if we focus on the songs composed year, 1938, We can have some tips about the 'war song'  issue. As know that years Russia in World War II. İn that time the song gained fame during World War II as an inspiration to defend one's land from the enemy.

The song of Katyusha combines elements of the heroic, upbeat battle song and of a peasant song depicting a girl longing for her absent love. Standing on a high riverbank, a young woman, Katyusha, sings of her beloved (compared to "a gray eagle of the steppes"), who is a soldier serving on the border far away. The theme of the song is that the soldier will protect the Motherland and its people while his girl will preserve their love. While the song is joyful and filled with the imagery of a fertile, blooming land, it also conveys the sense that the motherland is under threat.

"Katyusha" was first sung by female students from a Russian industrial school in Moscow to bid farewell to Russian soldiers going on the battle front against Nazi Germany in July 1941. It quickly became popular throughout the USSR. Its first official performance was by Valentina Batishcheva in the Column Hall of Moscow's House of the Unions. Later it was performed by Lidiya RuslanovaGeorgi VinogradovEduard KhilAnna German, ( I prefered to share German one, because, in my opinion Anna German version is the best one ) Ivan RebroffDmitri HvorostovskyIosif Kobzoncountertenor Vitas, and other singers. "Katyusha" is part of the repertoire of the Alexandrov Ensemble.

When we came to ' Love song' part I think this song has to way about love. First one Katyuhsa's love for her country and second one is her love for her lover who is in the battle. Such interesting song which is I like so much and there is one last information and then I ll share song's lyric; Katyusha is a diminutive form of the female name Ekaterina (Katherine). The song is the probable source of the nickname of the BM-8, BM-13, and BM-31 "Katyusharocket launchers that were used by the Red Army in World War II.

Расцветали яблони и груши,
Apple and pear trees were a-blooming,
Rastsvetali iabloni i grushi,
Поплыли туманы над рекой.
Mist (was) creeping on the river.
Poplyli tumany nad rekoj.
Выходила на берег Катюша,
Katyusha set out on the banks,
Vykhodila na bereg Katyusha,
На высокий берег на крутой.
On the steep and lofty bank.
Na vysokij bereg na krutoj.
Выходила, песню заводила
She was walking, singing a song
Vykhodila, pesniu zavodila
Про степного, сизого орла,
About a grey steppe eagle,
Pro stepnogo, sizogo orla,
Про того, которого любила,
About her true love,
Pro togo, kotorogo liubila,
Про того, чьи письма берегла.
Whose letters she was keeping.
Pro togo, chi pisma beregla.

Ой ты, песня, песенка девичья,
Oh you song! Little song of a maiden,
Oj ty, pesnia, pesenka devichia,
Ты лети за ясным солнцем вслед.
Head for the bright sun.
Ty leti za iasnym solntsem vsled.
И бойцу на дальнем пограничье
And reach for the soldier on the far-away border
I bojtsu na dalnem pograniche
От Катюши передай привет.
Along with greetings from Katyusha.
Ot Katyushi peredaj privet.

Пусть он вспомнит девушку простую,
Let him remember an ordinary girl,
Pust on vspomnit devushku prostuiu,
Пусть услышит, как она поет,
And hear how she sings,
Pust uslyshit, kak ona poet,
Пусть он землю бережет родную,
Let him preserve the Motherland,
Pust on zemliu berezhet rodnuiu,
А любовь Катюша сбережет.
Same as Katyusha preserves their love.
A liubov Katyusha sberezhet.
